Danas se s posebnim pijetetom sjećamo žrtava, pripadnika pričuvnog i djelatnog sastava policije 1991. godine, rekao je zamjenik gradonačelnika Petrinje Branimir Bešlić u prigodi sjećanja na napad na policijsku postaju Petrinja

Petrinja je nakon Vukovara prvi grad po stradavanju u Domovinskom ratu, a danas jedan od najsigurnijih gradova u Hrvatskoj. Stanjem sigurnosti zadovoljan je i načelnik PP Petrinja Dragan Josipović, ipak istaknuvši kako baš nije zadovoljan stanjem sigurnosti u prometu, no i to će se vejruje popraviti. U prigodi odavanja počasti svim žrtvama iz 1991. godine posebno policajcima Josipović dodaje

Izaslanstva su položila cvijeće i zapalila svijeće kod zgrade Policijske postaje Petrinja, a sveta misa služena je u župnoj crkvi sv. Lovre.
